Sweet as Honey

Posted in Fashion

We’ve been fans of the delicate designs and whimsical creations from Twigs & Honey for years. In fact, we’d gladly walk down the aisle a dozen times if we could wear a different headpiece from their collection for each occasion. So when we heard that their new designs were finally ready for unveiling, we couldn’t get to the T&H website quickly enough to see what gorgeous pieces they had waiting for us…

Style 212 – Mini tulle veil with pearls

From the designer:

“Our new collection took over a year – yes – over a year to complete and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I personally wanted to slow some things down this year… specifically, I wanted the designs to be nurtured and created with time as opposed to being rushed together. Most of the new styles began as a concept, then a sketch. After I made a sample, I would tweak for weeks or months until it was perfect. I’ll admit that some styles didn’t make the cut. But after an absolutely crazy year for the business on many levels, I really wanted the core of what Twigs & Honey has been built on, to truly shine.”

Style 207 – Blushing floral crown

Style 234 – Lace and rhinestone crown

Style 222 – Silk tulle alencon lace veil

Style 216 – Triple layer rhinestone adorned veil

Designers We Love: Watters and Wtoo

Posted in Fashion

There’s nothing we love more than a drop-dead gorgeous wedding gown… except for a drop-dead gorgeous gown at a GREAT price. That’s why we are obsessed with Watters and Wtoo. These sister companies always offer the latest styles, at half the price of other designers. So if you think you have to sacrifice glamour because you’re on a tiny budget, think again! Dresses in the Watters collection start around $1,000 (US), and the Wtoo dresses start even lower than that. The Fall 2012 designs for each collection just debuted, and we are in love all over again. Keep reading below for some of our favorites from the recent runway shows, and let us know which gown you’re dying to try on.

Winter Wonderland

Posted in Honeymoon and Travel, Inspiration

We just love winter weddings and the coziness that they exude. There’s nothing more romantic than snuggling up with your new husband in front of a fireplace, or taking your wedding pictures in front of a picturesque, snow covered landscape. If you’re considering a winter wedding (or an intimate honeymoon escape), you just have to put Chateau Montebello on your list of properties to visit.

Fairmont’s Le Chateau Montebello hotel is the best of the best if you’re in search of rustic elegance and warm accommodations. Their red cedar log cabins have hosted guests like President Bush, President Calderon and Prime Minister Stephen Harper… but you don’t need to be a world leader to experience the gorgeous amenities. The hotel offers a world class spa, refined cuisine, and more activities and outings than we can count. How much fun would it be to take your destination wedding guests on a midnight snowmobile ride? Or through a Land Rover Experience driving course?

Visit the Chateau Montebello website for even more gorgeous images, and let us know what you think of this gorgeous location. Would you host a winter wedding here?
